Pastor Clay 

Pastor Clay NeSmith is the Founding and Lead Pastor of Barefoot Church. A native of Thomasville, Georgia, Pastor Clay attended Columbia Biblical Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina. 

Clay, his wife Kim, and their son Cole, answered God’s call to begin a contemporary and life giving church in North Myrtle Beach. The church was birthed from the living room of their home, with the NeSmith’s and twelve other people. The vision was to connect people with the unchanging Word of God in a relevant way and in a rapidly growing culture.

From the beginning Barefoot Church was gifted with a huge heart to reach people through hospitality. Pastor Clay leads with passion, transparency, enthusiasm, and creativity to reach the unchurched and to equip people to serve in ministry, right where they are.
