COVID-19 SPRING PRECAUTIONS

As we step into this new season of Spring 2021, we are grateful to be gathering onsite at our Main Street location each Sunday. As we move into a new (warmer) season, you’ll notice a few changes around our campus as more people are beginning to come back to worship with us in person.

Beginning March 28, our services times will be 8:00am (mask-mandatory), 9:30am and 11:15am (mask-encouraged). If you are not yet comfortable joining us in person, please join us for Church Online.

We want to do everything we can to keep our entire church family healthy. We ask for your cooperation and support during this season. With Jesus as our focus, we know that the best is yet to come.

Our Health Advisory Team

We have formed the Barefoot Church Health Advisory Team in an effort to keep our church as healthy as possible. This is a team of local doctors and nurses who bring an abundance of wisdom to the table. Each person brings a different skillset to the team, from data/research to hands on experience with COVID-19.

*The Health Advisory Team is not responsible for mask enforcement or any other decisions we make in regards to holding gatherings, but they have agreed to help advise our church leadership team on what is best. We are heeding to their advice and guidance.

Dr. Timothy Chuck Mills is a Family Medicine/Primary Care Physician at McLeod Health in Loris, SC. Dr. Mills has hands-on experience dealing with COVID-19 and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.

Dr. Tarbert graduated from the Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2000. He works at Conway Medical Center and specializes in Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Amy Purser Medina has been a nurse for over 23 years. She currently works as an assistant professor teaching pre-licensure nursing programs and graduate programs. PhD, MSN-Ed, RN, CNE.

Mary Rhames is a Registered Nurse and currently works for Novant Health. Mary has also served on our Pastoral Care Team at Barefoot Church for many years.

Updated Spring 2021 Precautions | A/O March 12, 2021

See below for what you can expect this coming Spring when it comes to attending weekend services in-person at Barefoot Church. We thank you in advance for following all instructions given by our church leadership, staff and volunteers.

Gathering Outside

Please do not gather in the church lobby. Please flow in and out of the auditorium without congregating in the main lobby space.

How are you feeling?

If you feel unwell or if you’re experiencing any one of the COVID-19 symptoms, please remain at home. We appreciate your consideration for those who would be seated around you. We look forward to gathering with you when you feel better.

Enhanced Cleaning

Frequent sanitization of all high-touch surfaces, as well as restrooms, will occur both before and during services. You will notice our refresh team who will be wearing blue vests doing walk-throughs and spraying down high-touch surfaces.

Face Coverings

Love your neighbor. Thank you for wearing a face covering while on campus and during the service. We highly encourage you to keep your mask on throughout the duration of each service (even if you have been vaccinated or have previously had COVID-19).

Our 8:00am service is mask-mandatory. If you attempt to attend the 8:00am service without a mask, you will be asked to leave and rejoin us at another service.

We appreciate you for your consideration throughout your visit. Click here to learn more about how to properly wear a mask.

*Kids attending Kids World at any of our services are not required to wear masks. Kids attending the 8:00am service over the age of 2 will be required to wear a mask.

Capacity & Seating

As we enter this new season larger crowds are making their way back to the beach, which means that we will have more people attending our services. We will do the best we can to accommodate social distancing, but cannot guarantee social distancing in our 9:30am and 11:15am services.

If you would like to ensure that you are practicing social distancing, you can attend our mask-mandatory and socially distant 8:00am service.

Every seat will continue to be sanitized in between each service with hospital grade sanitizing solution.

Church Online

We fully realize and appreciate that not everyone in our church family is ready or able to regather with us in person. Our commitment is to include everyone, and we know each family faces their own set of circumstances, so we continue to offer an online service option every Sunday.
