COVID-19 WINTER PRECAUTIONS
We are grateful to be gathering onsite at our Main Street location during this winter season. Our team has been working on ways to help ensure that we can continue to gather for in-person worship services.
You’ll notice a few changes around our campus as it gets colder and more people come back to worship with us in person.
We want to do everything we can to keep our entire church family healthy. We ask for your cooperation and support during this season. With Jesus as our focus, we know that the best is yet to come.
Our Health Advisory Team
We have formed the Barefoot Church Health Advisory Team in an effort to keep our church as healthy as possible. This is a team of local doctors and nurses who bring an abundance of wisdom to the table. Each person brings a different skillset to the team, from data/research to hands on experience with COVID-19.
*The Health Advisory Team is not responsible for mask enforcement or any other decisions we make in regards to holding gatherings, but they have agreed to help advise our church leadership team on what is best. We are heeding to their advice and guidance.
Dr. Tarbert graduated from the Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2000. He works at Conway Medical Center and specializes in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Amy Purser Medina has been a nurse for over 23 years. She currently works as an assistant professor teaching pre-licensure nursing programs and graduate programs. PhD, MSN-Ed, RN, CNE.
Mary Rhames is a Registered Nurse and currently works for Novant Health. Mary has also served on our Pastoral Care Team at Barefoot Church for many years.
Updated Winter Precautions | A/O December 6, 2020
See below for what you can expect this coming winter when it comes to attending weekend services in-person at Barefoot Church. We thank you in advance for following all instructions given by our church leadership, staff and volunteers.
Love your neighbor. Thank you for wearing a face covering while on campus and during the service. We appreciate you for your consideration throughout your visit. Click here to learn more about how to properly wear a mask.
Please do not gather in the church lobby. We will have heaters outside so that you can gather with friends this winter before and after church. Please flow in and out of the auditorium without congregating in the main lobby space.
Capacity & Seating
We have reduced seating capacity in our venue. We are seating families in every other row with at least one seat in between each family unit. Every seat is sanitized in between each service with hospital grade sanitizing solution.
How are you feeling?
If you feel unwell or if you’re experiencing any one of the COVID-19 symptoms, please remain at home. We appreciate your consideration for those who would be seated around you. We look forward to gathering with you when you feel better.
Frequent sanitization of all high-touch surfaces, as well as restrooms, will occur both before and during services. You will notice our refresh team who will be wearing blue vests doing walk-throughs and spraying down high-touch surfaces.
We fully realize and appreciate that not everyone in our church family is ready or able to regather with us in person. Our commitment is to include everyone, and we know each family faces their own set of circumstances, so we continue to offer an online service option every Sunday.
