Celebrate the freedom and new life found in Christ through water baptism!

What We Believe About Baptism

Here at Barefoot, we believe baptism is an external action symbolizing an internal reality. Much like a wedding ring is a physical symbol of somebody’s marriage.

In this symbol, is the illustration of the washing of sin (Acts 22:16) and the opportunity to identify with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:4)

Baptism does not save you, nor is it necessary for salvation; much like wearing a ring doesn’t in and of itself make you married. Baptism also will not change your life circumstances. The only thing that can bring salvation and true life change is faith in Jesus Christ.

Who should be baptized?
Those who have believed and have professed faith in Jesus Christ as their savior (Acts 8:12)

Why are we baptized?
To display that we are disciples of Christ and to obey his command to be baptized in (Matthew 28: 18-20)

Our next baptism is happening on October 10th at 1:30 pm, on the beach at the end of Main St.
